Institute for Interactive Marketing and Social Media
Part-time, 10 hours/week
Starting August 01, 2023, and ending after 16.5 months

Please note that pursuant to the Collective Bargaining Agreement, only students who have not yet completed a master or diploma degree program can be employed.

The Institute for Interactive Marketing & Social Media (IMSM) under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Nadia Abou Nabout is currently inviting applications for a 10 hours/week teaching and research assistant position (flexible working hours). The position is designed for highly motivated students with strong interest and know-how in marketing. The position will be limited to a period of 16.5 months, starting in summer 2023.

What to expect

  • Assistance in current research projects (e.g., preparing literature reviews and editing of research findings)
  • Supportive tasks concerning the preparation of lectures and conferences (e.g., preparing presentations) as well as research activities
  • Participation in the operational work at IMSM

What you have to offer

  • Ongoing bachelor or master studies at one of the Viennese universities, i.e., WU Wien, TU Wien, Uni Wien, with at least 2 terms until graduation, ideally with a focus on marketing, information systems, data science, or statistics, with above-average studying performance
  • Proactive attitude, independent and reliable task fulfillment
  • Efficient execution of organizing and structuring tasks
  • Excellent command of English
  • Interest in the field of interactive marketing & social media
  • Proficiency in using MS Office programs, specifically for creating lecture presentations and other course materials
  • First experience in literature research: ability to use reference databases (e.g., WU catalogue, Google Scholar, or EBSCO) and reference managers (e.g., Zotero, Citavi, or Endnote)
  • Ability to extract key insights from literature, summarize research results, and write reports in order to assist ongoing research.
