Job Description for Security Guard
We are looking for a proactive individual to join our team as a Security Guard. As a Security Guard, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety and security of premises, assets, employees, and visitors. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment and preventing unauthorized access or activities.
Responsibilities:
Register maintenance.
Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security breaches.
Conduct regular security checks of the premises, including entrances, exits, and perimeters.
Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect and respond to any suspicious activities or incidents.
Enforce company security policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment.
Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, taking appropriate action and notifying the necessary authorities as required.
Control access to the premises by verifying employee badges, visitor credentials, and other identification documents.
Conduct thorough inspections of bags, packages, and vehicles to prevent the entry of prohibited items or materials.
Provide excellent customer service and assist employees, visitors, and contractors with concerns related to security.
Generate accurate and detailed reports on security incidents, disturbances, or violations, documenting relevant information and actions taken.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, if necessary, to investigate incidents or support ongoing investigations.
Qualifications:
A diploma or PUC equivalent is required. Additional training or certification in security management or related fields is a plus.
Previous experience in security or law enforcement is preferred.
Strong observational skills and attention to detail to identify potential security risks or suspicious behaviour.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure and effectively handle challenging situations.
Sound judgment and decision-making skills to assess situations and take appropriate actions.
Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
Basic knowledge of security systems, including CCTV surveillance and access control.
Familiarity with emergency response procedures and the ability to provide first aid or CPR, if required.
Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
