YOUR TASKS:
  • Ensure that a high level of professional rapport is developed and maintained with all customers
  • Follow up on all customer enquiries and direct customer to the correct DHL department where further information is required
  • Ensure regular and effective communication with customers through regular visits and conduct monthly and quarterly performance reviews.
  • Where necessary, take corrective actions to ensure that DHL provides the best express logistics and distribution service to these customers.
  • Develop industry knowledge ‘banks’ on trends, share of wallet, opportunities for DHL Express to focus on and develop.
  • Analyse, plan and implement resource requirements necessary to achieve targeted revenues & shipments by working closely with the Country Management team.
  • Participate in the planning process with the Country Management team to develop the Annual Business Plan. In addition, develop monthly rolling sales forecasts, quarterly targets by FTE and to monitor performance of the NCC against targets (and take corrective actions where necessary)
  • Plan, organise and direct an efficient and effective National Customer Channel comprising of 8 industry sectors so as to achieve targeted revenues
  • Prepare timely and accurate reports as required by the National Sales Manager and Regional Office, for the purposes of evaluating performance and formulating strategies

YOUR PROFILE:
  • Minimum 5 years’ international Sales & Services management experience in a service-related industry, selling to large multinational accounts.
  • Knowledge of TQM, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management etc.
  • Analytical ability to apply broad concepts to resolve customer problems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, especially with top level management.
  • High level of commitment and drive and achievement
  • Stays abreast of market information and understands developing market and business trends
  • Drive to identify, understand and give high priority to customer needs
  • Uses effective interpersonal styles to create and sustain effective relationships with business parties.
  • Drive to seek out and assemble relevant information and data from a wide range of sources
  • Excellent organisational skills, including ability to prioritise workload
  • Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, time sensitive environment
  • Good understanding of DHL Network
