We are looking for a passionate and hardworking Concrete Works Operator to join our team at Singleton Council. In this role, you’ll make a real impact on the everyday lives of people within our community by achieving important outcomes for Singleton to grow and flourish.

THE ROLE

In this role you will work in a team to repair and construct a variety of community assets. The natural diversity of your role means that every day will be different. The concrete team produce high quality and important assets for the community and contribute to making a real impact for Singleton. Ongoing training and development is available to those who wish to expand their skills and knowledge along with the opportunity to gain formal qualifications.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Solid demonstrated experience working on a civil construction worksite with demonstrated skills in one or more of the following: concreting, drainage, civil maintenance.
  • Demonstrated ability to competently operate plant, machinery and hand tools associated with the role such as small rollers, wacker packer, chainsaw and other mobile plant.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to WHS requirements on a work site

This position is offered on a permanent fulltime basis working 38 hours per week. The team currently work a 9-day fortnight.

Remuneration for this position is based on GRADE 6 of the salary system which equates to a base salary and standard allowances between $2,216.76 - $2,489.30 per fortnight plus superannuation.
