We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide to join our team at PT 1st Rehab & Wellness. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, excellent communication skills, and be able to work collaboratively with our physical therapy team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist physical therapists with patient care, including positioning, transfers, and exercises
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment for patient use
- Perform clerical tasks such as scheduling appointments and filing patient records
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the therapy area
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding therapy goals and progress
Requirements:
- High school diploma or higher (Kinesiology major preferred)
- Prior experience working in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Knowledge of exercises and proper explanation
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and computer skills
- Willingness to learn and follow established protocols and procedures
