We are seeking a highly motivated and organized intern to join our team as a Project Manager for a prestigious Digital Art Biennale. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in managing and coordinating all aspects of a large-scale digital art event. RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Project Coordination:
- Assist in the planning, organization, and execution of the Digital Art Biennale.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders, including artists, curators, technicians, and vendors, to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule.
- Keep detailed records of project progress and provide regular updates to the project manager.
2. Artist and Curator Management:
- Assist in the selection and recruitment of artists and curators for the Biennale.
- Facilitate communication between artists, curators, and the organizing team, addressing any questions or concerns.
- Coordinate logistics for artists (travel arrangements, accommodation, technical requirements…)
3. Event Planning and Execution:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Biennale's overall concept and theme.
- Coordinate event logistics, including space planning and exhibition layout.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the Biennale through various channels, including social media, press releases, and partnerships.
- Coordinate with technical teams to provide necessary equipment and resources for artists' installations.
4. Documentation and Evaluation:
- Assist in documenting the Biennale through photography, videography, and written records.
- Conduct post-event evaluations, collecting feedback from artists, visitors, and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports and presentations summarising the event's success, challenges, and recommendations for future improvement.
MUST-HAVES
- Currently pursuing a degree in art management, cultural studies, event management, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Available for a period of at least 12 weeks starting from September
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Fluent in Dutch and English
- Knowledge or interest in (digital) art and contemporary art practices.
- Familiarity with event planning and execution processes.
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of professionalism.
- Ability to adapt and problem-solve in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
