Formulate, as the strategic partnership owner, the future strategic directions on this domain. Keep abreast of market, competition, technical, application and policy developments and develop deep understanding of the Philips position and business interests. Strengthen eco-system play to support business growth via developing and managing a wide range of partnership with or without investment.

This role will have high exposure to senior leaders across Philips. You are responsible for

• Formulating partnership strategy, taking ownership of partnership governance process, managing existing partnership portfolio, and organizing periodic reviews with senior leaders and key stakeholders.
• Leading strategic partnership projects from start to finish with strong project management, collaboration and communication skills
• Sophisticated financial modeling, valuation analyses, detailed company due diligence, transaction structuring (alliance, JV, acquisition, divestiture), private/venture capital investments, debt/equity investments and strategy and competitive analyses
• Coordinating legal documentation, including coordinating contracts and closing transactions
• Influencing, advising and keeping informed senior business and China region leadership within Philips on partnership strategy and deal decisions
• Collaborating and partnering with various strategy and business teams to effect a successful partnership transaction
• Advising and challenging deal rationale, financial projections, and financial implications
• Preparing negotiation strategy and taking a leadership role in negotiations with target companies together with business teams
• Preparing presentations for internal approvals
• Leading, developing and coaching junior team members

You are a part of

The Philips Greater China Strategy, Ventures, M&A and Partnership team. The team works very closely with Philips Greater China Management and Global Strategy and M&A Team to drive the business insights, develop corporate / business strategy as well as facilitating the strategy execution process. This role will base in Shanghai.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience.

• A minimum 10 years of work experience in investment/banking/consulting or similar e.g. in corporate development. Experiences preferably with focus on healthcare sector, in leading / executing on multiple acquisitions, JV partnership, minority investments and divestiture transactions in a reputable financial institution or corporate
• Excellent academic track record with a master's degree, MBA preferred
• Broad experience across the healthcare industry preferred. This could include experience with imaging devices and systems, image-guided therapy devices, acute care medical technologies, diagnostics, and/or healthcare IT/software
• Ambitious drive and proven track record of influencing and advising leadership teams
• Team player with a pragmatic approach, strategic mindset and strong communication skills
• Fluent in English and Mandarin
