Position: Kitchen Crew

Job Overview: As a Kitchen Crew member in a fast food restaurant, you will be an essential part of the team responsible for preparing and serving delicious and fast-paced meals to customers. Your primary objective will be to ensure the efficient operation of the kitchen, maintain food quality, and uphold strict hygiene standards. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other kitchen staff and maintaining the kitchen's cleanliness and organization.

Responsibilities:

Food Preparation: Assist in preparing food items according to the established recipes and procedures. This may include cutting vegetables, assembling sandwiches, frying items, grilling burgers, and preparing other menu items.

Cooking: Work with kitchen equipment, such as fryers, grills, and microwaves, to cook and heat food items quickly and accurately.

Order Fulfillment: Collaborate with the front-line staff to fulfill customer orders promptly and accurately. Ensure that each order meets the restaurant's quality and presentation standards.

Food Safety: Adhere to all food safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handwashing, storage procedures, and maintaining correct temperatures for all perishable items.

Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas. Regularly clean surfaces, utensils, and cooking equipment to prevent cross-contamination.

Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring and managing kitchen inventory, ensuring that necessary ingredients and supplies are available for efficient operations.

Quality Control: Monitor the quality of food items, alerting supervisors of any inconsistencies or issues in taste, appearance, or preparation.

Collaboration: Work as part of a team, communicating effectively with other kitchen crew members and front-line staff to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service.

Time Management: Efficiently handle multiple tasks simultaneously, especially during peak hours, to meet customer demands promptly.

Flexibility: Be adaptable and willing to take on various tasks as required, including assisting with cleaning duties during slow periods.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or fast food environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen equipment usage.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects when required.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: AED1,300.00 - AED1,500.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Sharjah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
