Milkplan S.A, is manufacturing innovative robust quality products in their 30.000 m 2 privately owned, factories in Thessaloniki, Greece.
We are searching for a Mechanical Engineer to be part of our R&D team. The candidate will be responsible for the design and engineering documentation of Milkplan’s innovative product offerings.
More specifically, the responsibilities are:
Product design and development : Prepare rough sketches for requests. Prepare detailed 3D master drawings and assemblies of new or modified products using design packages (e.g. SolidWorks, Inventor), suitable for the company’s PDM. Prepare and update a complete technical folder
Drafting / creating 2D manufacturing drawings, BOM for company’s products
Perform calculations for materials and weight limitations
Prepare instruction manuals , data sheets and technical proposals
Analyze customers' technical drawings / documentation / request, estimating material requirements and costs.
Calculate cost estimates for final product designs, and release reports to supervisors, incorporating costs of labor, material, delivery and overhead
Communicate with the production team to ensure compliance with the drawings, resolving design issues and incorporating knowledge gained into future drawings
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Minimum of 3 years experience in a professional engineering position
Proficiency with SolidWorks, Inventor and Microsoft Office
Fluency in English
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Very good communication skills
Mind-set for problem solving
Additional Preferred Requirements:
Knowledge of PDM will be considered as an advantage .
Knowledge of Modeling & Simulation will be considered as an advantage .
Knowledge of thermal hydraulics will be considered as an advantage .
