The Payroll & Accounts Officer plays a crucial role to the business by providing accurate, timely and efficient payroll services to staff.

Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI) was Australia’s first dedicated paediatric research facility and is now one of the world’s most highly regarded independent medical research organisations. Our research focuses on the four key areas impacting children’s health: cancer, genomics and genetic diseases, neurobiology, and embryology.

Work with a team of dedicated professionals
We are looking for a Payroll and Accounts Officer to join our team to:

  • Perform monthly processing of payroll, including but not limited to superannuation, deductions, taxes and leave calculations and payments.
  • Ensure compliance with Superannuation, Taxation and Employment legislation as well as internal remuneration and benefits policies/entitlements.
  • Assist with financial processing of payroll transactions and other staff related costs, including but not limited to expense claim reimbursements.
  • Assist with month/year end reporting including FBT reporting.

What can you bring to this role?

  • Qualifications in the field of payroll or financial accounting related fields
  • Strong and substantial experience in payroll, preferably with some knowledge in HR
  • Keypay experience is preferable
  • Proven experience completing and managing month-end and year-end requirements
  • Good understanding of payroll, legislation and taxation processes
  • Attention to details and deadlines
