Home Entertainment & Sound Europe (HES-E) are a team of hardware and software engineers, who focus on our product capability, compatibility, quality, development, and enhancement, for current and future products. Our team works to ensure Sony’s products are ready for the EU market and address important issues including accessibility, design, and future readiness.
In this role, you will be based in Lund working closely with our teams across the globe, to create customer value and new features for Sony's display products (e.g. TV) for the European customers.
You will:
- Lead customer survey and competitor analysis activities in Europe wide, so that all TV business-related organizations can understand the European market well
- Review, evaluate and propose UI specs of display products so that the products can meet Europe-specific customer needs
- Propose new, attractive and feasible features based on the facts and data, to create new values for European customers and differentiate our display products in the market
- Work closely with internal partners in Europe, the US and Japan.
- Develop junior engineers or contractors, so that they can conduct survey/analysis, user testing, UI design and writing comprehensive reports.
- Making decisions on survey/analysis activities will reach all of the engineering members and product planning members of Europe, Tokyo and San Diego
- Take decisions of UI review, evaluation, proposal of UI spec and new features will reach to products of Europe or global.
You will bring:
- Academic degree in an engineering subject such as Electrical, Electronic, Software or Computer Science, Product Design or another area that can demonstrate understanding and knowledge of these topics
- Solid professional experience in user interaction design for consumer electronics or applications
- Experiences of planning and conducting usability tests by oneself
- Expert level of identifying concrete user pains and solving them by UI / Interaction Design, considering Sony's UI/UX policy and consistency with other features.
