The Role

McIlwain are seeking an Accounts Payable Administrator to drive the reconciliation process within the Accounts Payable/Finance team under the direction of the Accounts Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Management of AP mailboxes
  • Ensure invoices and authorisations are processed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure reconciliation of creditors statements are performed monthly and take appropriate action for reconciling items.
  • Processing of credit card transactions.
  • Ensure AP procedures are documented and reviewed on a periodic basis.
  • Assist in the establishment and maintenance of internal controls.
  • Escalate accounts payable issues and exceptions to Accounts Manager in a timely manner.
  • Prioritisation of workload to ensure requirements are met.
  • Preparing weekly and EOM payment run proposal for review and verification by the Accounts Manager.

You will have the following key attributes:

  • Demonstrated 5+ years’ experience within an Accounts Payable function.
  • Strong interpersonal skills matched with the ability to build meaningful relationships at all levels of the business.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
