ESG & QA Manager, Helsinki

The role is divided between ESG/Responsibility and Quality Assurance management for the whole Musti Group. The role is based in Finland, Helsinki, reporting to Head of HR and ESG. The office is located in Käpylä. As the ESG and QA Manager you will take ownership of Musti responsibility approach “Trusty” Responsibility - Musti Group.

The role is quite independent, and you will be working with various stakeholders within the Group. The office locates in Käpylä but you can also work from home (preferably 3 days per week from the office). The role includes domestic travel approximately twice a year and travel to other units/countries within Musti Group from time to time.

What will your tasks be?

  • Planning, development, target setting, implementation, and co-ordination of Trusty concept throughout the whole Musti Group
  • Supporting different teams and business functions in achieving Musti’s responsibility targets and meeting other responsibility requirements
  • Developing and managing Quality assurance in collaboration with Category management, Sourcing and Supply Chain
  • Working on responsible procurement in collaboration with Category management and Sourcing
  • Responsibility and Quality Assurance reporting: internal project management and reporting to management team, external annual reporting such as NFI, Annual report, MSCI, UN Global compact act etc.
  • Policies and frameworks such as Supplier Code of Conduct, BSCI audits, People principles (incl. equality assessment and target setting), Animal welfare and Pet parenting policy etc.
  • Working with relevant suppliers from a responsibility and quality perspective; example Supplier self-assessment
  • Following development of regulation around sustainability and compliance and plan actions accordingly
  • Developing stakeholder dialogue, respond to stakeholder enquiries about responsibility issues in collaboration with relevant people and teams
  • Planning and coordinating internal and external responsibility communication
  • Being in contact with Stakeholders
  • Taking ownership of relevant documentation within the area
  • Presenting & communicating Musti Group responsibility and quality work both internally and externally

Experience/way of working:

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in Corporate Social Responsibility, preferably in all three areas (environmental, social and governance)
  • Relevant BSc. or MSc. degree
  • Experience in Quality Assurance and Responsible Procurement
  • Solid experience in Project Management
  • Know how to work in fast growing business and like to work in dynamic work environment
  • Knowledge of/experience in retail business is considered as an advantage
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Speaking and understanding Finnish is considered as an advantage

Other Skills:

  • Regulation knowledge of CSRD and EU taxonomy
  • Knowledge of feed safety, chemical, and environmental regulation in each country
  • Knowledge of general consumer goods and electronical devices regulation in each country
  • Knowledge of Green House Gas Protocol
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, FSSC 22000 is an advantage
