About ECHO

ECHO Community Services is a registered charity providing care to the elderly to help them live in their own home with dignity while still maintaining their independence.

We provide in-home services 7 days per week for Home Care Package and 5 days per week for CHSP.

Our goal is to provide services at the same time, on the same day and with the same support worker which means that you know the person who is coming and the time they will arrive. Having the same support worker providing services, in particular, medication prompts and personal care, maintains the person’s dignity and well-being. You know and can trust the person attending. There is continuity of care for people who receive our services.

Description:
Your Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Roster staff to match client needs for Home Care
  • Processing service assignments to agreed timeframes.
  • Generating service assignments and communicating with the support team
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure timely assignment of services to clients
Hours 8.00am to 4.00pm or 8.30am to 4.30pm Mon - Fri, with the ability to be flexible outside these hours depending on business needs and able to participate in after hours on call roster during the week and on weekends.

Skills and Experiences:
The ideal candidates will have the following skills and experience:

  • Excellent knowledge of SCHADS award
  • Extensive experience in a community home care scheduling role
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast pace environment
  • Team player
  • Above average attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Flexible and agile, manages time effectively
  • Ability to set priorities to meet the demands of the job
  • Above average abstract thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer skills including but not limited to MS Office, MS Excel.
  • Police Clearance
It would be a distinct advantage if you have either previous rostering or scheduling experience or experience in community aged care.

The successful applicant will be required to provide or obtain a current police clearance.
